If you watched my video above you know that I used to be a Mechanical Engineer until I finally realized how much I disliked my field and that I needed change - immediately. After some deep thinking and many stressful weeks, I decided to give being a professional tutor a try. I started tutoring math in person in 2016, made the transition to online during COVID and haven’t looked back since. This is so, so, so much better than engineering! I love teaching math and I plan on doing it for a very long time. I’m not going to suddenly up and quit. I’m here for as long as you need me to help you!

And where is here? Here is having enough students to be able to do the whole digital nomad thing and live the Canadian dream! Total and utter winter avoidance! I manage timezones, students and schedules, pack my computer up and circle around Vietnam, Japan and Canada following summer weather and tutoring math the whole time. Haven’t seen a winter for 5 years now.  It’s pretty awesome!

I am able to do this because I focus on creating a class and environment that students enjoy and do not dread coming to every week. My math skills are strong, my presentation is entertaining and my explanations are clear. As a result I have enough returning students every year to make this my full time job. I’m always on the lookout for new students though! I love finding new learners that I’m excited to work with and torture in math! Does that say torture? Of course, that’s meant to read tutor!
